Product Overview

The HomePlug plugs directly into a standard 3 pin UK power socket. The supplied Ethernet cable connects between the HomePlug and the required network device. Data is transferred between HomePlug devices at a maximum rate of 14Mbps. The included software enables you to change the encryption password of the device and displays connection speeds between devices on the network. Works straight out of the box - no drivers required. HomePlug V1.0 specification compliant for interoperability with other HomePlug V1 compliant devices.

Requirements

Operating system independant. Supports any TCP/IP protocol enabled device such as PC, Laptop, Games Console (XBox etc), IP Security Camera, Network Printer, etc.

IMPORTANT ADVICE

HomePlug adapters allow you to network your computers & other Ethernet devices through your ordinary power sockets. Think of these homeplug adapters as creating virtual ethernet cables on your mains power.

To create a homeplug link, you will need two homeplugs. We suggest a homeplug starter kit. This will contain everything you need to create one link through your mains. One homelug would connect to an ethernet port on your router. The second homeplug would connect to the ethernet port on your computer.

If you then wish to add a second computer to your homeplug network, all you need is a single homeplug adapter. This will join your existing homeplug network.
