A BT Infinity Router is usually the best way to connect to your high speed Fibre Broadband connection. BT Infinity Routers allow multiple users to use your Fibre Internet service at the same time so everyone can enjoy high-end Internet functions like streaming video and audio. Share files, printers and other peripherals, most BT Infinity Routers also provide a much safer internet connection with built-in firewall security preventing unauthorised access of your network from the internet.
A BT Infinity Router can only be used via an Openreach Modem (supplied by BT). A BT Infinity Router (Fibre Router) does not have a built-in modem and is primarily used with the Openreach Modem, the Ethernet Fibre modem that is supplied by BT. The BT Infinity Router must be fed the Fibre broadband connection via an Ethernet cable. Should you need to expand the number of ports to add additional devices to the BT Infinity Router you'll need to use an Ethernet Switch.
